The following is a listing of the senior softball leagues in Dayton for the upcoming season with information about location, age eligibility, cost, days and times of games, application dates, and application forms if available. If you have questions about a league, please use the contact listed in the description.
Wednesday morning signup will begin February 3rd for Kettering residents and February 10th for all others. Remember to ask to be put on the waiting list if they say the league is full. They usually add teams later.
Here are the leagues.
Wednesday evening Cuny-Zink National League at City of Dayton Kettering Fields (age 45 & over):The National League is open to players 45 or older by December 31st, 2025 from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. Players from OH, IN and KY are welcome. The fee is $60. This league features senior bats, pitching screens, single and double-headers starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from May through July, and followed by a National League City Tournament. There is also a National League 45 & Over Fall League, which usually starts in early August and runs through late September/early October.

Monday morning City of Kettering at Delco Park (age 60 & over):This is the only league that is not a draft league. Players are invited to play on existing teams and the fees are generally paid by a sponsor. You must be 60 or over by December 31, 2025. The 10 game season will start May 12th and will be followed by a single elimination tournament. Games are played at Delco Park, 1700 Delco Park Dr. Games will start at 11:00 and 12:30 in May and at 9:30 and 11:00 am in June and July. Monday evening Cuny-Zink American League at City of Dayton Kettering Fields (age 63 & over):You must be 63 or over by December 31, 2025. The games are played at City of Dayton Kettering fields at 444 N Bend Blvd in Dayton at 5 pm on Mondays. The 10 game season is scheduled to begin April 29th, 2025 and will be followed by the city tournament. The fee has been reduced to $45. An application is attached to this email and should be mailed with payment to the address on the application before March 15, 2025. Players are eligible if they turn 63 anytime in 2025. Those who are 62 in 2025 will be placed on a waiting list and considered case-by-case if additional players are needed. You will wear your own shirts with coach's chosen colors. Monday evening Cuny-Zink Central League at City of Dayton Kettering Fields (age 60 & over):You must be 60 or over by December 31, 2025. The games are played at City of Dayton Kettering fields at 444 N Bend Blvd in Dayton at 6:30 pm on Mondays. The season is scheduled to begin April 14th or 21st, 2025 and will be followed by the city tournament. The entry fee is $55. An application is attached to this email and should be mailed with payment to the address on the application before March 15, 2025. Since the league will have a limited number of openings, some players may not get selected for the league. If this is the case, then your entry fee will be returned to you. Wednesday Morning City of Kettering at Delco Park (age 60 & over):You must be 60 or over by December 31, 2025. The games are played at Delco Park, 1700 Delco Park Dr. Wednesday mornings. The 10 game season will begin April 30th, 2025. Games will be played at 11:00 and 12:30 in April and May and at 9:30 and 11:00 in June and July. There will be no tournament. The cost is $45 including a team shirt. Registration begins about February 3, 2025 for Kettering residents and February 10, 2025 for all others. Register on playkettering.org or call the Kettering Rec Center 937-296-2587. Calling has been easier and your payment will be taken over the phone. Wednesday evening 70 & Over League at City of Dayton Kettering Fields (age 70 & over): You must be 70 or over by December 31st, 2025. The games are played at City of Dayton Kettering Fields 444 N Bend Blvd in Dayton at 5 pm on Wednesdays. The season runs from late May through August. The cost of $55 for 9 games plus a double elimination tournament. Complete the attached application and mail with payment to the address on the application. Friday morning 69 & Over League at City of Miamisburg Rice Field (age 69 & over):You must be 69 or over when you step up to the plate in 2025. The games are played at Rice Field at 9131-9399 Dayton Cincinnati Pike, Miamisburg at 9:30 and 11 am on Friday mornings. The fee is $25 which covers the league entrance fee of $350 per team based on a roster of 14 players per team. Applications should be mailed to the address on the application by April 21, 2025. Players signing up late will go onto a waiting list. There will be a draft for all players and teams. Do not send any money with the application; each manager will collect their team's entrance fee.
